The difference between normally open and normally closed clamps

The brake type also has the function of emergency braking, and it is widely used in the Kate HTPM guide slider. Operating State: Normally open clamps are in the released state (the clamp brake block is separated from the guide rail) when no air or oil is supplied; while normally closed clamps are in the clamped state when no air or oil is supplied. Application Scenarios: Normally open clamps have the functions of fixing the workbench, fine positioning, preventing vibration, and improving rigidity; normally closed clamps, in addition to the above functions, also have the effect of emergency braking in case of power failure. The clamp is directly mounted on the guide rail via bolts, and it is usually recommended to install it between two sliders.
