Compared with sliding guideways, rolling linear guideways require less oil and have a longer lubrication cycle. However, if used without lubrication, the wear of the rolling contact parts will increase, shortening the service life of the guideway pair, so appropriate lubrication is necessary.
1. Grease lubrication
Kate's rolling linear guideway sliders are pre-installed with lithium-based grease No. 2 under normal conditions. The grease is generally replenished every 100km of operation, or the lubrication frequency is adjusted according to the specific situation. In the presence of external influences such as pollution, vibration, and impact, the lubrication cycle should be shortened accordingly.

2. Oil lubrication
When the customer uses a centralized lubrication oil supply system to lubricate the guideway pair, please inform our company of the requirements for oil lubrication and the installation status of the guideway pair (such as horizontal, inclined, vertical, etc.). Before leaving the factory, our company will not install grease in the slider. We will also make appropriate adjustments according to the different installation statuses to ensure that each groove of the slider is fully lubricated. It is recommended that customers use lubricating oil with a viscosity of 1S0 vG32~150.

Due to severe rusting at the mounting points of the slider and rail, it was difficult to remove the slider when disassembling it, which may have caused the damage to the linear guide rail. When we tried moving it again after replacing it with a new slider, the movement was still very poor. It is estimated that simply replacing the slider would not only cause it to be damaged again, but may also damage the rail and rack.
