HSR series linear guideway sliders utilize steel balls rolling along four precisely ground rows of rolling surfaces on the LM rail and LM slider. End plates assembled on the LM slider enable the steel balls to circulate.

The LM slider uses a retainer plate to hold the steel balls in place, preventing them from falling out even if the LM slider is removed from the LM rail; however, this does not apply to models HSR8, HSR10, and HSR12.

SRG series linear guideway sliders are roller type sliders. By using a roller retainer, they achieve smooth, low-friction movement, resulting in ultra-high rigidity roller guides that are maintenance-free for long-term operation.

Due to severe rusting at the mounting points of the slider and rail, it was difficult to remove the slider when disassembling it, which may have caused the damage to the linear guide rail. When we tried moving it again after replacing it with a new slider, the movement was still very poor. It is estimated that simply replacing the slider would not only cause it to be damaged again, but may also damage the rail and rack.
