1. THK ball screws are widely used in precision positioning applications, therefore, the accuracy of the ball screw is very important. The heat generated during operation cannot be avoided during prolonged use of the ball screw. The ball screw may produce significant friction and positioning errors. Therefore, to ensure the normal use of the ball screw, maintenance and upkeep must be reinforced.
2. To reduce wear on the THK ball screw, the balls and bearings can be alternately replaced. This reduces friction between the balls and their tracks during operation, while ensuring the accuracy of the HK ball screw.
3. The accuracy of the THK ball screw will also decrease if lubrication cannot be performed. Regular lubrication with grease is necessary during daily operation to reduce accuracy degradation due to lack of lubrication, therefore, lubrication must be performed diligently.

The lifespan of a THK ball screw depends on many factors, but it is broadly divided into rolling element life, wear life, and damage life. These three elements can be further divided into many other elements; in general, we can easily judge these several aspects.
For linear guides, the lifespan of rolling elements generally determines the overall lifespan of the ball screw. In simple terms, the core part of the ball screw is the rolling element, which is also the soul of the ball screw's operation. Therefore, the coefficient of friction of the ball screw should be as small as possible during operation; it is also one of the important factors in determining the poor quality of the ball screw.
When the applied load is lower than the theoretical load, the screw grooves, nut, and rolling element surfaces are continuously stressed, which leads to material shrinkage and surface delamination. This is a critical moment, constantly remembering the changing state; when surface delamination occurs, it is called the life of the rolling element. Because this test is also currently accurate and can be tested accurately even without instruments, because the original function is to exchange linear motion and rotary motion, so the friction of the main shaft and rotary motion will naturally occur frequently. If the correct manufacturing parameters are lacking, the purpose of exchange cannot be achieved. To ensure accuracy, material parameters are indispensable.
