Does splicing the guide rail affect the slider's operation?

Linear guide rail splicing affects the slider's operation, mainly in the following aspects:
1. Splicing accuracy: If the guide rail splicing is not accurate, there are gaps or unevenness, the slider will be subjected to additional resistance and impact during sliding, increasing friction and wear, and may also cause vibration and noise, thus affecting the slider's operating efficiency and stability. Brands we know include THK linear guides, original Japanese THK linear guides, HTPM Kate linear guides, HIWIN linear guides. In addition to the difference in brands, it is also important to note whether they are domestic or imported products, which greatly affects the accuracy.
2. Material matching: The materials of the linear guide rail and the slider should be matched to reduce wear and corrosion. Differences in materials may lead to incompatibility at the splicing point, thus affecting the smooth operation of the slider. This requires the use of guide rails from the same brand. One section cannot use THK linear guides and another section use HTPM Kate linear guides. It is also important to note that THK is divided into THK linear guides and original Japanese THK linear guides.
3. Lubrication effect: The splicing of linear guide rails may affect the uniformity of the lubrication system, leading to poor lubrication, increased friction coefficient, and reduced slider movement efficiency.
Therefore, during the guide rail splicing process, the splicing accuracy should be ensured, high-quality and matching guide rail and slider materials should be selected, and the lubrication system should be improved to minimize the adverse effects on the slider operation.
