Separated installation method of THK slider and linear guide rail

When THK linear guide If the THK linear guide cannot be firmly fixed on the workbench, a mounting datum surface can be machined on the base (1) and a mounting datum surface can be machined on the workbench (2). Install according to the following steps.

 

 

 

1. Cleaning of mounting surface and mounting datum surface

 

(1) Please use an oilstone, etc., to remove burrs and scratches from the mounting surface and mounting datum surface of the machine and device where the linear guide will be installed, and wipe with a clean cloth.

 

(2) Please use a clean cloth to wipe off the rust preventive oil and dirt from the mounting datum surface and mounting surface of the linear guide.

 

2. Temporary fixing of linear guides Ⅰ and Ⅱ

 

(1) Temporarily fix the linear guide I by aligning its mounting datum surface with the mounting datum surface of the base. At this time, please confirm that the fixing bolts do not interfere with the mounting holes.

 

(2) Fixing of the linear guide Ⅰ: Use small pliers, etc., to make the mounting datum surface of the guide tightly adhere to the mounting datum surface of the base, and tighten the fixing bolts in the same position. Repeat this method from one end to fix the guide sequentially.

 

(3) Keep the THK linear guide Ⅱ temporarily fixed.

 

3. Separation of guide and slider

 

After confirming the matching and positional relationship between the guides and sliders of linear guides Ⅰ and Ⅱ, separate the sliders from the guides.

 

4. Fixing of the sliders of linear guides Ⅰ and Ⅱ

 

Correctly align and fix the mounting datum surfaces of the sliders of linear guides Ⅰ and Ⅱ.

 

5. Combination of guide and slider

 

Align the guide and slider fixed to the workbench with the position of the guide fixed and temporarily fixed to the base, keeping them parallel, and carefully and slowly insert them.

 

6. Fixing of the guide of linear guide Ⅱ

 

Move the workbench, confirm that the movement is smooth, and then fix the guide of linear guide Ⅱ. Tighten the fixing bolts immediately after the fixed THK linear guide Ⅱ slider passes through. Repeat this method from one end to fix the guide sequentially.
