With the innovation and development of China's high-tech technologies, the technology of THK guide rails for transmission components has also gradually matured. Those familiar with THK guide rails know that they are generally used for linear reciprocating motion, with higher load characteristics than linear bearings, capable of withstanding a certain torque coefficient, and achieving high-precision linear motion under high loads. (1) THK guide rails offer interchangeability
Due to strict control over manufacturing precision, the dimensions of THK guide rails can be maintained at a certain level. The slider design incorporates a retainer to prevent steel ball loss, so the precision of some series is interchangeable. Customers can order guide rails or sliders as needed, or store the guide rails and sliders separately, reducing storage space.
(2) High rigidity in all directions
Using four rows of circular arc grooves and four rows of steel balls with a 45-degree contact angle, the steel balls achieve an ideal two-point contact structure, capable of withstanding loads from up, down, left, and right directions; if necessary, preload can be applied to increase rigidity.
(3) Self-aligning capability
The DF (45°-45°) combination from the circular arc grooves allows for self-alignment and high-precision, stable, smooth movement, even if the mounting surface is slightly misaligned, through the elastic deformation of the steel balls and the transfer of contact points, absorbed by the linear slider.
(4) Low noise during high-speed operation
Nowadays, THK guide rails mainly use ball bearing technology. The double-axis high-speed THK guide rails on the market are embedded with double-row bearings, allowing the bearings to be fully driven, and their operating speed is not reduced due to ball circulation. With this technology, you can achieve maximum circular motion, greatly reducing noise!
(5) Wear resistance
High-speed THK guide rails use high-carbon chromium bearing steel with strong wear resistance in local areas. After heat treatment and density polishing, the surface hardness reaches over 70HRC, effectively extending the service life of the THK guide rails!
(6) High precision, easy disassembly
In the traditional mode, the gap precision of THK guide rails is difficult to adjust. If not maintained regularly, aging will occur. Disassembly and precision adjustment during repair are difficult and complex. Currently, new THK guide rails and sliders can adjust gap precision using side bolts, greatly reducing workload and saving time!
(7) Simple assembly, universal accessories
Currently, THK guide rail products have become large-scale, standardized accessories, convenient for customer selection and assembly. Interchangeability is also noteworthy. Sliders and guide rails can be sourced from separate suppliers. Even if wear occurs during later use, parts can be handled through other supply channels. This excellent interchangeability is quite convenient for consumers.
Due to the rolling motion of the balls between the THK guide rail and the slider, friction loss is greatly reduced, and the advantages of THK guide rails in industrial applications far exceed those of sliding guide rails.
