Structure and Features
Steel balls roll along four precisely ground rolling surfaces on the LM track and LN slider; the end cover plate assembled on the LM slider enables the steel ball rows to move cyclically.


The LM slider uses a retainer plate to hold the steel balls, so the steel balls will not fall off even if the LM slider is pulled out from the LM track. (Except for HRW12 and 14LR types)
To ensure that the four directions of action (radial, anti-radial, and lateral) on the LM slider have the same rated load, the steel ball rows are designed to be in contact
at a 45° angle, so it can be used in any posture.

And because uniform pre-pressure can be applied, a low friction coefficient is maintained while strengthening the rigidity in four directions. This model has a wide track width and low overall height, low center of gravity structure, so it can be used on a single axis in places where space saving is required
or where high rigidity is required under strong torque.

Due to the large number of effective steel balls, this model has high rigidity in all directions. The track width is wide, and a single axis can withstand sufficient torque.

Because THK's unique circular arc groove front combination (DF combination) has self-adjusting capabilities, it can absorb installation errors even when pre-pressure is applied.
