Traditional grinding method of linear guide rails

Reciprocating motion is achieved through guides, and the motion accuracy of rolling linear guides depends on the manufacturing accuracy of the linear guides. Grinding, as an important process in the processing of rolling linear guides, is of great significance in ensuring the manufacturing accuracy of rolling linear guides. There are mainly four methods for grinding rolling linear guides, and the last three are commonly used:
Method 1: Requires three processes to achieve grinding of the working surfaces of both sides of the raceway and the mounting base, and two side surfaces.
(1) Grinding the upper and lower surfaces and two side surfaces on a surface grinder;
(2) A surface grinder is equipped with a set of dressing devices. The workpiece is fixed with the mounting base and the side is corrected. One grinding head grinds the working surface of one side of the raceway;
(3) The workpiece is turned over, and the mounting base is fixed and the side is corrected in the same way. One grinding head grinds the working surface of the raceway on the other side. Due to accuracy and efficiency reasons, this method is rarely used.
Method 2: Two processes are used to achieve grinding of the working surfaces of both sides of the raceway and the mounting base, and two side surfaces.
(1) Grinding the upper and lower surfaces and two side surfaces on a surface grinder;
(2) The forming grinder is equipped with two sets of correction devices. The workpiece is fixed with the mounting base and the side is corrected. Two grinding heads grind the working surfaces of both sides of the raceway respectively.
Method 3: Two processes are used to achieve grinding of the working surfaces of both sides of the raceway and the mounting base, and two side surfaces.
(1) Grinding the mounting base and top surface on a surface grinder;
(2) The forming grinder is equipped with two sets of correction devices. The workpiece is fixed with the mounting base, and two grinding heads complete the grinding of the two side surfaces and the working surfaces of the two sides of the raceway at one time.
Method 4: Two processes are used to achieve grinding of the working surfaces of both sides of the raceway and the mounting base, and two side surfaces.
(1) Grinding the mounting base on a surface grinder;
(2) The forming grinder is equipped with three sets of correction devices. The workpiece is fixed with the mounting base, and two grinding heads complete the grinding of the two side surfaces and the working surfaces of the two sides of the raceway at one time, and the third grinding head completes the grinding of the top surface of the guide.
