With the continuous development of modern manufacturing technology, traditional manufacturing has undergone tremendous changes, with CNC technology, mechatronics, and industrial robots being more widely used in production. At the same time, the positioning accuracy, guiding accuracy, and feed speed of mechanical transmission mechanisms are constantly improving, leading to significant changes in traditional guiding mechanisms.

Since its commercialization in 1973, rolling linear guideways, with their unique characteristics, have gradually replaced traditional sliding linear guideways and have been widely used in industrial production. They meet the current demands of machinery for high precision, high speed, energy saving, and shorter product development cycles, and have been widely used in various heavy-duty combined machine tools, CNC machine tools, high-precision electric spark cutting machines, grinding machines, and industrial equipment. Currently, the high-end market for linear guides in China is dominated by brands such as Schaeffler from Switzerland, INA and Bosch Rexroth from Germany, and NSK and THK from Japan. Among them, THK's precision ball screws have a wide variety of precisely ground screw shafts and nuts, which are standardized, allowing for the selection of suitable products for different applications.

THK types are classified into: pre-loaded and non-pre-loaded types.

Pre-loaded type:

BIF type: This model is a ball screw where a phase difference is given to the threads on both the left and right sides of the nut, resulting in a negative axial clearance (pre-loaded state). It is compact and provides smooth movement.

DIK type: This model is a ball screw where a phase difference is given to the threads on both the left and right sides in the middle of a single nut, resulting in a negative axial clearance (pre-loaded state). It is compact and provides smooth movement.

BNFN type: This model combines two nuts, and preload is applied using an adjusting plate to eliminate backlash. It is a common type and uses bolt holes on the flange for assembly.

DKN type: This model combines two nuts, and preload is applied using an adjusting plate to achieve a negative axial clearance (pre-loaded state).

BLW type: This model combines two large lead nuts, and preload is applied using an adjusting plate, thus achieving high-speed feeding without backlash.

Non-pre-loaded type:

BNF type: This model is a simple single-nut type and uses bolt holes on the flange for assembly.

DK type: This model is a small nut ball screw, with a nut outer diameter of only 70% to 80% of the return pipe nut outer diameter.

MDK type: This is a miniature type with a screw shaft diameter of φ4 to φ14 mm and a lead of 1 to 5 mm.

WHF type: This ball screw uses a new circulation structure, achieving high-speed feeding with a DN value of 120,000. The nut outer diameter and mounting hole dimensions are interchangeable with the traditional WGF type, so it can replace the WGF type. (WHF1530, WHF2040, WHF2550)

BLK/WGF type: The BLK type has the same dimensions for shaft diameter and lead, while the WGF type has a lead dimension of 1.5 to 3 times the shaft diameter.

BNT type square nut ball screw: Threaded holes for installation are machined on the square nut, allowing direct assembly with the machine body without a support seat.
