V-shaped guide rail and rack transmission systems are increasingly common in mechanical arms. However, many people may be new to this technology and unsure of the selection factors. Different models can be chosen based on different load capacities, including type 15, type 20, type 25, and type 35.
For V-shaped guides, the guide rail itself is the component with the longest lifespan and least damage in the entire system; the four V-shaped rollers are the main working parts. When a V-shaped roller is damaged, it can be replaced directly.
The installation method should be considered based on the load capacity.
Taking a 1-ton load as an example: When a V-shaped guide rail and rack transmission system needs to bear a 1-ton load, the installation method should be considered for selection. If the THK guide block is installed parallel to the ground, and all four V-shaped rollers work parallel to the ground, then the 1-ton weight can be evenly distributed among the four rollers. Each roller will bear 0.25 tons. According to the selection table, a type 25 can be selected.
If installed perpendicular to the ground, the calculation will be different. In this case, only two rollers bear the load, so each roller bears 0.5 tons. According to the selection table, a type 35 should be chosen.
The V-shaped guide rail and rack transmission system achieves linear motion through the rolling of V-shaped rollers on the V-shaped guide rail surface. The V-shaped rollers also perform self-cleaning during rolling. V-shaped guide rail and rack transmission systems are extremely suitable for applications in high-dust environments.
